In Case of Rain Wedding Location

I want to have a simple wedding with a max of 30 guests on Cape May beach and just do a nice dinner after. But what do I do for a ceremony and pictures if it rains?

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! On the beach there is a pavillion that can be rented/used for weddings. That is usually the alternative that is suggested if you aren't having your reception somewhere that can hold a rained out wedding. I got married at the Alcott and they do weddings in an alcove off the reception hall if it rains.

The town has you apply for a permit to have a wedding on the beach, you can speak to them about using the pavilion as an alternate if it rains. Depending on how deep into summer your wedding is that shouldn't be a problem

Also, there is a wedding related company in Cape May that does all the chair rentals for beach weddings.

Thank you!! I am waiting for Hotel Alcott to email me back with prices. And Bridget I just emailed your place. How much would Peter Shields Inn charge to just have the ceremony and pictures there if weather was bad?

Does anyone know of any places that allow couples to just pay for a ceremony and picture site without having to do a whole dinner there?

Hi Kelly! Just saw this post now. You should put your wedding on Wedding Mapper now that you have pictures! Brides are always happy to see a real wedding in Cape May. I have great shots of your surprise, and I bet you do also! ~~~~ Dori GRACE NOTE STRING ENSEMBLES
