Congrats on your upcoming wedding! On the beach there is a pavillion that can be rented/used for weddings. That is usually the alternative that is suggested if you aren't having your reception somewhere that can hold a rained out wedding. I got married at the Alcott and they do weddings in an alcove off the reception hall if it rains.
The town has you apply for a permit to have a wedding on the beach, you can speak to them about using the pavilion as an alternate if it rains. Depending on how deep into summer your wedding is that shouldn't be a problem
Also, there is a wedding related company in Cape May that does all the chair rentals for beach weddings.
