We would love to know what your colors are for your wedding. Mine were brown, green, and cream/white for the reception and all white for the ceremony. Check out my photo.

Csantare, I would put the guys in traditional tuxes with gold vests for evening, or a light tan wedding suit for day. I think the girls should wear pink, maybe with gold sashes and gold heels. you could do deep pink dresses nad paler pink flowers or vice versa. I think it sounds really beautiful, and I am a wedding planner so I see lots of weddings! Good luck!

Prestob,
You don't have to have a "color scheme". The point is to make sure that you have a cohesive design aesthetic for your day -- that everything matches and the "big picture" is beautiful. Just choose one or two things that inspire you -- red roses, crystals, pussywillow, bubbling champagne -- and let the elements of your wedding come from there. I post inspirations a few times a week on my blog at enchatedbrides.blogspot.com, if you'd like to check it out. Good Luck!

Prestob, My mom and step-dad got married in December, and they went with the traditional "Christmas" decorating scheme of the church they were married in....poinsettias, berries, fir wreaths, red and gold candles. The church, since it was decorated for Christmas, didn't need any further decorations for a wedding- it was decked out and my mom saved a ton of money that would have gone to the florist! Mom simply carried a few red roses and a small white Bible. I was her Maid of Honour, and I wore red, as did my sister in law, who was a Bridesmaid. Mom wore a silver dress. Beautiful, simple!

We are doing red and black, as red is the color of prosperity in China, and they are also our favourite colors.

I grew up in Asia, and I still have several of the red "Lucky Money" envelopes that we used to see during Chinese New Year. I love red as a wedding colour...why not? You can use the "Double Happiness" red symbol as well.

Prestob - what about white/silver/red or white/silver/blue or white/gold/and touches brown. Very classic and elegant. You can create a winter wonderland themed wedding.

Tealeaves: Was definitely thinking about it. I found a few sites that have beautiful foil double happiness seals for the invitations (which I'm making myself) I always wanted a red wedding, ever since I was very young.
