Greetings,

Thanks for your inquiry regarding your rehearsal dinner. Many couples love the idea of having entertainment during their rehearsal dinner. When well-executed, this element helps create a warm, festive atmosphere that puts guests at ease before the big day. Many couples also use this event to have members of the bridal party formally introduce themselves to other guests, especially to those who've traveled a long distance for the wedding. This also gives bridesmaids and groomsmen a chance to share a witty or touching anecdote about the bride or groom.

Typically, entertainment during the rehearsal dinner is more low key than that during the wedding reception. An acoustic guitarist and singer performing favorites by artists such as James Taylor and Jack Johnson can be the perfect compliment to such an occassion.

Hi,

Just about any great restaurant or hotel conveniently located to most of the members of a bridal party can make for a super rehearsal dinner.

In your area, you might try:

Tre Piani in Princeton
The Blue Point Grill in Princeton
Golden East Garden in East Brunswick, NJ
Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village
Crowne Plaza Hotel in Somerset, NJ

Hope that helps!

I didn't have any specific location in mind...I did just find out that it's Rutgers homecoming that weekend, so I might try to stay out of New Brunswick. Thanks for the suggestions, davidbywater!
