I just had my wedding reception at the Grand in July 2009. I would certainly recommend this facility. My guests continue to compliment the food and the service. Karen Bergman, the wedding planner for the facility, made sure that all of my expectations were met. The staff is experienced and they take the guess work out of many of the logistics. Many of the hotel rooms were recently renovated. They were clean and sufficient. The outdoor pool and bar area was also a favorite of some of my guests. The Grand is not a "chain" hotel although it is charging the same prices as some of the more expensive chain hotels. You will not get the same service as you would from a Ritz Carlton, especially from the front desk, reservations, and housekeeping. However, you are beach front "down the shore" which brings with it a charm that a chain hotel does not offer. We had an unbelievable experience and I would recommend this property!
