Where should I get married?

I've been reading about Hilton Head, but I've never been there. Here's what I'd like, and I'm hoping someone who's been there can help me.

It's just going to be the two of us. We'd like it to be very private and on the beach. Afterwards, we'd like a private dinner.

That's it.

Please give me your advice/thoughts on a location/area/hotel/villa/rental/etc.

Thank You!!!!!!!!!!

I just got married on HHI in September. We had a beach wedding, but was about 120 people. We worked with Melissa Katon at Sea Pines Resort and she was phenomenal. I would give her a call and get her thoughts - I am sure she could help. Also - I would recommend staying at the Inn at Harbour Town - it is really nice and is the only Forbes Four-star and AAA Four-Diamond hotel on the island. Also - as far as restaurants go - call Carol at The Sage Room - best restaurant on the island (my opinion). They helped with our rehersal dinner and I am sure they could set something up very private for the 2 of you or even maybe work with you to cater a beach dinner. She was also really great to work with.

All that said - if you don't have your heart set on HHI - I would also recommend Amelia Island. The Ritz there is amazing! It has a more private feel then HHI from my experience. I would HIGHLY recommend doing the chef's table tasting at the Salt Restaurant there. It is pricey but well worth it for a special occasion like this. Also - it lasts like 5 hours and you really get your money's worth between the food and wine.

Congratulations and good luck!
