We loved our beach wedding in corpus.
We rented chairs and an grass topped umbrella from Butler for guests to seat during the beach ceremony. The umbrella we think was totally necessary as it gets so hot. The little shade did wonders. If you want the guests to hear you may need to consider having some type of sound. We had about 40 guests and some said they weren't able to hear the whole talk due to the waves and wind.
You need to get a beach permit to have a wedding ceremony. Depending on where you have it on the beach you will need either a state or city permit. The city permit is $55.00. We had it at mile marker 156 i believe. That was nice because it was quiet and no cars can really drive there...unlike the rest of the corpus beaches. There is also a parking lot close by so no beach parking permit is needed.
The Sandcastle Resort has a boardwalk to the beach and also had a room that can handle a medium size wedding reception. We have shot a few there that have a nice wedding on the beach and then an indoor reception.

Hello my name is Ashley, I would like to ask you where I can get more information about the Sandcastle Resort. I'm preparing for a my wedding for this coming summer in corpus christi and I love the idea of having the ceremony on the beach and the reception in an enclosed area. Thank you
Hello, we have a really nice venue: "west of key west", located on the causeway to the Port Aransas Ferry. We have our own "Private Beach" for the ceremony, it comes with a deck looking down to the beach, and you can have your reception indoor in our beautiful "Panoramic room" with floor to ceiling glass walls and a a gorgeous bay view. We also have a huge parking lot and a bride's suite available. You can check our website:
