I can probably help you with that. I think there is lots of info, budget is a main concern. Do you have a particular budget? I an show you samples of places that I have done photos at if you would like.
My budget is around 5000. I would love to see some pics
I'm getting married next year in Daytona Beach and i've been all over so maybe some of this can help you out. Sunset Harbor Yacht Club is a popular place as well as The Plaza Resort and Spa. Both places you can get married outside on their decks and then have the reception inside. The Daytona Beach Resort and conference center is nice but gets higher up there in price. The Shores is really nice and has a gorgeous area where you can have an outside weddign but it's pretty expensive. The Wyndham is cool because they bring in Encore Catering to do there catering which is much cheaper than when the resorts do their own catering but there's no place there for a ceremony unless you want to have it in one of their smaller banquet rooms. There is Chaple and Tavern in the Gardens in Port Orange that's suppose to be really nice but I haven't actually been there so I don't have much info on that. If you're looking for a hall that isn't in a hotel you should check out St. Demitris in Daytona. It's right on the river and you can bring in a caterer. Riverside Pavilion in Port Orange is right on the river as well but less fancy. There is also the Brandon Center in New Smyrna but I hear that's not fancy at all. Right now Rockefeller Gardens in Ormond Beach is getting a makeover, but there redoing it so that it has a wedding area. It's right on the river and is suppose to be gorgeous once it's finished (That's where my wedding is going to be) Hope that helps.
I agree with Ashley, Those are most of the popular places. Chapel in the Garden is very nice, however the price range there is very high for the best features. I beleive the chapel is 1800 to rent. But double check with them. I have a lot of wedding photos from plaza, Wyndham, Chapel/Tavern, and even brandon center. Hers one from the lobby in the Wyndham
Peninsula Club In Daytona Beach
Sorry for the mas publishings here:( I thought I could add many photos at once. If you want I can email them to you- email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want.
Thanks for all of the help everyone. I am looking for somewhere I can have my reception that I can get my own caterer. I dont mind having hte wedding and reception at 2 different places, but want to stay on the cheaper side if I can, while still being elegant.
Try Lakeside Center in Port Orange. You can do everything there it is around 400-450+tax for the hall, kitchen, grounds, alcohol fee etc. You can use the projector etc. It has nice high ceilings, a dance floor. There is one downfall the big plaque on the wall where the head table normally goes. The last time I was there the couple covered it with a very pretty shower curtain that actually matched their decor perfectly. I've attached a photo of that too!:)
I love that! I will check it out. Thank you for all of your help Mark.
I work in the catering department at the Grand Seas Resort. I was just married in April and afterwards decided to convince our owners to open up our resort for weddings. Since we're new in the wedding field, no one really knows we exist and our prices are really reasonable! We can host ceremonies on our pooldeck or on the beach and have the reception outside as well. Our banquet room is small and only holds up to 50 people but we've held larger receptions at a historic building on Beach St (Anderson Price). We had our rehearsal dinner outside on the pooldeck with a luau theme and it was so much fun! The resort has a notary on staff, black & white linens, centerpieces, full scale catering and accomodations available. Let me know if you're interested. My email is email@example.com. The picture is from a corporate party we did a few weeks ago on the pool deck.
I can help you find a place for your wedding in your budget. Call me for a free consultation. You can also set up a free honeymoon registry.
I had "Yes! Your Event Specialist" handle my weddding. They were able to do everything for me in my budget. It was beautiful. We had our reception in Daytona at the Ocean Walk. An event planner is the way to go.
What type (formal, informal, casual) wedding are you looking to have? Do you have a per person budget?
Hey again!:) I searched some other areas, and the Palm Coast Yacht Club is really nice! Palm Coast Yacht Club www.pcycfl.com Try them too!
Palm Coast Yacht Club is nice and the food is very good.
Well I havent checked out Palm Coast yet, but I def will. I will also check out event specialist. My budget per person isnt exact yet, but I would like to have my own caterer, and I have not met with anyone yet to see what the prices look like. I do not want to spend $100 a person though. The place I work can cater for around $15-$30 a person depending on the food I select. I am not sure if that is really good or not. I am going to check out all of these places this weekend. I really appreciate everyones help!
We are hosting a bridal show at the palm coast yacht club in august! www.flaglerbridalshow.com You can get a feel for the location if you are going to be in town then. Most caterers are around that price range here in this area.
I hope you find all that you need!
Hey Mark! Not sure if you got it but I sent you an e-mail yesterday. Will you send me some pics of the reception you did at the Wyndham? I've been looking to have my reception there but haven't seen the room all done up. The hotel doesn't have many pictures for some reason and I'm dying to see pics of other weddings done there!
JHylton, You might also check out Halifax Plantation. You would not provide your own food there, but it is reasonable and very elegant. Stephanie is very nice and great to work with. I am not having my wedding there, but my bridal luncheon, and our family has been there and raved about the food and service.
Your friends and family can help pay for your honeymoon, even if you have already paid for it. Check it out.
DJ Vern from Pyramid Disc Jockeys here. Some other less expensive options are the Palmetto Club, Riverside Pavilion, The Wilbur Boathouse and Lakeside City Center in Port Orange and the Palmetto Club. Another pretty decent place for you is the Historic Anderson Price Building and finally the historic Casements in Ormond Beach. I didn't want to throw too many out there, just wanted to try and give you a few different options. Hope this helps! Call or e-mail us if we can answer any other questions about it or if you are in need of musical entertainment for your wedding.
