Hi. There is no problem taking photos. However you may want to check with the city because if there is another event/wedding scheduled at the same times as you want to take photos you will not be allowed near the fountain or surrounding areas. Might be worth it to rent it for an hour so that you have it and no tourist will be allowed around while you're trying to take wedding photos. Just a thought. Hope this helps! :)
Oh sorry didn't answer the second part. The fountain is where you want to be for pictures. It's definitely savannah!
Hello I got married in Forsyth park and you can take pictures as long as another event is not going on. People do rent out the squares (in front of the fountain) but it shouldn't be a problem! The best area to take photos is on the long brick walkway, and in front of the fountain! It makes the photos turn out beautiful!
Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I will also look for a backup indoor location, just in case. Any suggestions?
Where is your reception? That venue might be your best bet. When's the wedding?
It's at Savannah Station on September 10. That's a good idea, thanks. I'll just have to make sure they won't charge me extra to show up early for the photos since we are taking them between the ceremony and reception.
