Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can give me any ideas or references for decent priced flowers for my upcoming spring wedding. I don't have a large budget for the flowers, maybe $400, to the florist I've talked to that's not a lot in the wedding world..lol.. but I'm trying to find other resources of where I could go that isn't too expensive.. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!!

Hi, I am actually a floral designer and I work out of my home. My company's name is Pretty in Platinum Events & Designs and my goal is to create beautiful wedding flowers at a fraction of the cost. I try to keep all of my flowers under $600. Let me know if you're interested and I would be happy to discuss and send photos.

We used Lori Cox at
Studio Flora
1801 Lafayette Ave. St. Louis, MO 63104 | St. Louis - Lafayette Square | 314-773-6616

She doesn't have a website. But she is great with suggestions for staying in a budget.

Baisch and Skinner Wholesale Market on LaSalle/Choteau in St. Louis-- you can order and do your own. Gerber Daisies are relatively cheap-- we did those in vases on each table- and tied them up for bouquets - they come in all colors. Baisch and Skinner also has a huge Market-- with silk and dried stuff and wholesale costs. That is hwere many florists get theirs from.

We used Schnucks Focus on Design for our April 2010 wedding. I am not sure what you are looking for for $400 but, they offer high quality floral arrangements and personalized service for very reasonable prices. Definitely worth looking into if you are on a budget! My contact there was Rosalinda.

I'm not sure what type of wedding you are having, but mine was outdoors and more on the casual side and I got my flowers from Costco... as long as you keep it basic they can order you flowers in bulk. I ordered tons of cream roses and green hydrangeas and made my own bunches to hang on the gazebo and made a simple bouquet for me and arrangements for the tables and cake area the day before the wedding. Total cost was well below $400. I think I can only upload one picture here, but you can email me if you want to see more: katebrid at gmail dot com. Best wishes for a great wedding!

I used Les Boquet. Melinda works out of her home so it saves on some overhead for her Company which translates to less expensive for you.
I didn't have a whole lot of money for flowers either, ended up spending $1,000, but I also had uniqure flowers.
Melinda is good about taking your budget and what you need and giving you something beautiful. She is very artistic, and I had so many compliments on my flowers. If you only have $400 she might use dasies instead of tulips since they're less expensive..but she's has a ton of ideas.

Check out Soulard Florist. For $400 I got my bouquet, my toss bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutineers, and 5 corsages. An excellent deal!

We went with Always in Bloom in South City on Watson. Colleen was highly recommended to me from friends who used her for their weddings. She worked within my budget and can recommend flowers that will stay within your price points. Her flowers stayed beautiful all day and had a unique design to them. Also, they lasted about a week AFTER my honeymoon so I could enjoy them too!

We used "The Petaler" (her name is Sue). Her number is 314-721-1189. She was awesome and much cheaper than other options we pursued. Good luck.
