Believe you sohould!!!! I have a cousin, and she dind't invite the entiere family to her wedding because she consider it wasn't neccesary because many family members live in other cities. The point is that evrybody knew about the wedding and were so mad that they weren't invite that the people that was invite dind't appear in the wedding, it was a horrible experience, they made a complot!!! so it was a lonlet wedding
Maybe consider announcements for those you are not that close to that are out of town. Do send invites to aunts and uncles grandparents and if you still have greats out of respect.
I am having a small wedding as well, and won't be inviting lots of my family members that I have not seen in ages.
I think it is important to share you special day with those that are close to you, and not break the bank doing it.
Again wedding announcements can be sent before or after the wedding and don't have to be on the fancy paper that the invitations are on.
