I need to find a source for some very inexpensive flowers for a very simple beach wedding. We don't live in California (we're in Indiana), so could really use some advice. thanks!

Hi! Hope I can help.

I am originally from Southern California, and live in Ohio now. (My hubby is from Ohio). We had a destination wedding and it went so perfectly smooth, there's not 1 thing I would do different. It was helpful that I am born and raised there, and MY entire family is there, but i still basically planned my entire wedding from Ohio. I'm not sure where you are getting married, but we got married at Crescent Bay Park, in Laguna Beach. (AMAZING!) We used Laguna Florists, they are located in Laguna Beach, I'm sure they service the entire area. They did everything perfect to a "T". They will accomodate no matter how big or small your order is, and treat you as if you're the most important customer in the world. I hope this helps.

Do you just need a bouquet and bridesmaids groomaman bouts? Do you need centerpieces? Where in Laguna are you getting married/what venue?

We just got married in June in Laguna beach and we were on a strict budget for tropical flowers. We used OC Wholesale Flowers in Santa Ana. They were the most affordable around. The pro's are they're the cheapest & great quality. The cons are you have to design and pick up yourself. Good luck & congratulations! :)

We used Desdemona Gilbert of Desdemonia's Flowers. She works alone, though her day job is working at a SoCal flower wholesaler, and was very reasonable on her prices ($325 for small bridal party and parents/grandparents). She's a little on the rougher side as opposed to professional (we met her at Starbucks and she wore jeans and a tie die shirt with e peace sign on it. She kinda looks like a biker chic) but she was really sweet and listened and got things done. Her number is 714-398-1517. Tell her Carolyn Simpson sent you.

Hi, we got married on 8/21/10 in Laguna and used Newport Florist (www.newportflorist.com) - they were great. Very creative, very easy to work with, very reliable, and best of all, very reasonable in price. Good luck!
