I am interested in a private, personal wedding. Does anyone know any local laws that would prevent us from getting married on the beach, with our own minister and a few friends?

Check with the city of Pismo. I have the perfect wedding arch for you. Let's make a deal. Easily carried to your beach wedding site. If you want more info, feel free to call me @ 805-621-2285. I have lots of info on beach weddings!

Well it depends on how many friends you have. On some beaches you need to get a permit from the city first if you are having a gathering of 25 or more people. There are no reservations so it is first come first serve on some as well. I would just check into it with the city and see what beaches require permits. Other then that I don't know of any laws. Congrats and good luck!

I had a wedding on the beach in May, 2010. I called the city, if its more than 50ppl you need a permit. Other than that, it's 1st come..... Congrats
