We had our reception at The Harbour Club and it was beautiful! There is a mix of dark woods and brick so it gives it more of a warm inviting feel. We used the upstairs roof deck for cocktail hour and kept it open during the reception just in case anyone wanted some fresh air. Happy Planning!
We did Charleston Place hotel. There is a restaurant downstairs that can comfortable seat that many people. It is also connected to a courtyard with beautiful flowers and a fountain that can be used for a cocktail hour. The grand staircase and chandelier make for great photos!
We're doing Boone Hall Plantation, which is also out in Mount Pleasant. It was Rachel McAdams' house in the Notebook. I think it fits your requirements perfectly!
We had our reception (with a dance floor) at the long room at McCrady's restaurant. We only had 65 guests plus the wedding party, so for your size reception you'd probably need to rent both rooms upstairs. It's right on bay street and was Charleston's first tavern. George Washington actually ate there during his southern tour! at first I didn't know about having my reception in a restaurant but after seeing the place I was sold, it's beautiful, the event coordinator was awesome, and the service was outstanding! We were married last october and people still tell me how great the food was! Also, if you're planning an evening reception with a send off, the alley way at the entrance is a great place for a sparkler send-off. The pictures turned out amazing!
Society Hall on Meeting St may be a place to consider
Also, Tidewater Chapel in Mount Pleasant is a great location. Finally the Creek Club on Ion is a super location
Check out the Rivertowne Country Club in Mt Pleasant. Here is the website and lookfor Lacy.
We had our wedding over there last year July 25. It was amazing, perfect, the staff very friendly, worked with our budget, and they have 3 places to choose from.
I highly recomand them.
And also, if you need help with the bridal gown alterations or the bridal party, check out
Good luck and congratulations :)
We used the Francis Marion Hotel.Jessica was awesome .There is 3 ballrooms for that size, very Charleston like and hardwood floors for dancing. The parking garage next door works well for guests too.
Check out the Wickliffe house! It was perfect for us. We had 50 guests and had the wedding upstairs and seated reception and dancefloor downstairs, but if you are having just the reception there, you can have the dinner upstairs and the dancing downstairs...
