You might have better luck at smaller venues outside the city... something off the radar. I know there is a barn in topsfield. hope that helps.. don't want to change your location though.
Yes- I'm getting married at the Old State House in Boston, which although has a fire code limit of 75, lets you use your own catering, and has worked with me with all my needs. $2300 for the wedding and reception if needed.
I got married in July 2005 at the Sonesta Boston. It was intimate affair with all the wow factor. We had the most spectacular view of the Boston skyline and everyone could not stop talking about the food. Check out the wedding packages to save you all the hassle. The staff is very helpful and want to make your day extra special!http://www.sonesta.com/Boston/
Have you checked out Artists For Humanity Epicenter in the seaport area of Boston? We are having our wedding there- DIY is the only option there- you have to bring in everything (whatever vendors you choose) but they will give you recommendations about vendors that have worked there in the past. Its very modern and artsy- not sure if that is something you'd be interested in. Its $5000 to rent but that money goes to support the organization (helping urban teens do art).
GREAT PLACE to have a wedding!
we use our white sheers and up lights to accent and transform that space.
I think if you go to a pivate club they may offter more DIY access.
