I am planning my wedding for next fall (2011) and was wanting to have my ceremony and reception in the same place to make it convieniant for all my guest. If I couldnt find a place that I liked to do both I was at least wanting to have my reception somewhere that had an indoor and outdoor setting. This way everyone could enjoy the fall scenery and colors and come indoors if wanted. I am having trouble finding venues because not all place in louisville KY have web pages to look at. Does anyone have any ideas?
p.s. please help!

We had our wedding and reception at Whitehall. You can do everything outdoor or indoor or both. If you have a tent, you have to rent the tent and pay an extra fee for the space where the tent goes, but the gardens and house are included in the same price. We had our wedding Sept. 8, 2007 and everything was still in bloom in the garden. We also didn't have to put flowers or decs inside because it's a historical building and was beautiful on it's own. we only did table decs.

Conrad-Cochran House off Grinstead Road. Pretty old home w/area where you can set up chairs for outdoor ceremony. Glassworks has a rooftop. Frazier has a rooftop. Yew Dell Gardens has lots of areas for outdoors & a castle for indoor reception.

Glassworks! We had our ceremony on the roof, and the cocktail hour and photos on the roof as well, and the reception indoors on the second floor. It was great!

Try Richwood Plantation Bed and Breakfast. This is a hidden jewel! Just north of Louisville in Milton, KY. After searching high and low for the same thing for a spring outdoor wedding with a indoor option we found this place. Affordable but very private and gives an exclusive feel. Having ours there next May and everything will be onsite, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, day after brunch. Ask for Sam and tell him the Hatfield/Davis wedding sent you:) Check out the site for a ton of pics- Good luck!

I live in the Glassworks and we have at least three wedding/events a week. 21C Museum Hotel is where we are having our ceremony and reception. We are having it in the Atrium of the museum, with another attached gallery rental for the cocktail hour (during which they will flip the Atrium from ceremony to reception). There is also a rooftop garden that is connected to the Penthouse suite. I know they hold a lot of weddings and events there as well. Proof on Main is catering and the food is fantastic.

I know a couple who got married at the Melwood Art Center, and they have both indoor and outdoor locations there. It's very nice.

Melwood is a very neat setting. Very many options there. I think we are having one of our photography sessions with Envy Photography there, that's where Theresa's office is too.

Also, I think the Frazier Art Museum has a rooftop location and some indoor places that can be used for weddings. We had our reception at the Conrad-Caldwell House, and there's really nowhere to hold an outdoor ceremony there, but the inside space is nice for a reception.

Have you looked at the Watertower downtown? For a small wedding. A bigger venue we had our daughters Wedding at the Gillespie on Market St. It could definitely be used for Wedding and reception....beautiful and big!!! Use to be an old bank. Just went to a reception there Sunday. They do have a website. Hope this helps.
