I got mine done at Arrow Cleaners. They're on Rutledge north of the crosstown or on Calhoun a block North of Meeting (I think, they're the ones with the big blue top). They did a really nice job! I got it pressed before the wedding and cleaned after. They even got the line of black that accumulated along the bottom! (Ewww)
Thanks for the quick response. This place was also recommended by a girl who works at LuLu Kate too. Just to confirm did you have it just cleaned or cleaned and preserved? Also, do they seal the preservation box air tight? I've heard that this practice is no longer used, etc. Just trying to get a feel for the process so any info you have would be great! Thanks again!
You're welcome! It was recommended to me by Bella Bridal I think it's called? I just had it cleaned, my mom & aunt said I probably shouldn't have it preserved (I don't know why, but I didn't really ask questions). Sorry I didn't have it done!
By the way, we both got married at St. Luke's!
Thanks so much for the info. St. Luke's is beautiful!
We do quite a few wedding gown preservations at Americlean in North Charleston. You can contact us at www.americleansc.com
By the way, we "wet clean" at Americlean, no harmful chemicals are used.
