What I am doing for my wedding is using silk and buying the majority of my flowers from Afloral.com. My bridal party bouquets are less than $7 each, and my boutonnières are around $3 each. I am having my bridal bouquet made at a florist.

I just got married in June and we used the real touch flowers they are not silk (it is more like cloth) the real touch look real and feel real. I picked out my own flowers to put in the boquets and then had someone put them together for me. I spent about 200.00 on all of my flowers. Here is a picture of how my flowers turned out. There is also a website that does wedding real touch it is www.budget-bride.com. We also did all of our corsages and boutineers ourselves it is extremly easy.

Good Luck

Stephanie

I found a place in Washington Height that I am using for my wedding. For my bouquet, throw flower, my maid of honor, 3 bridesmaid, coursages for the mothers and my grandmother, boutonnières for the groom, bestman, 2 ushers, ring bearer and both fathers cost was $430. I don't think I could have found a better deal then that. I would be more then happy to give you the their information.

Best of Luck,

Gissal

HI - Silk flowers would be one idea. I have seen this other idea that is out now. It's called 'brooch bouquet'. It's really pretty and looks as lively as real flowers.
I have attached a pic for you to see the brooch bouquet
Here is the link to look at a few

I have a friend who I've worked with who was in the exact same boat as you - she got so fed up, she created her own ceramic flowers - sounds weird but they're actually affordable and really cool. here's her info, hope this helps:

also, have you started thinking about hair and makeup? I'm in the same boat- one woman I have been looking into is Jenna Kyle - http://www.jennakylemakeup.com - she's originally from LA, and now does on-location weddings in NY. She has all sorts of clients worldwide and does a really flawless look for your wedding. I did a trial run (full makeup application) and consultation which cost me $150 for a 3 hour session and she even covered skincare and let me bring my mom along. I would recommend doing the trial on the day of your engagement or bridal photos if you plan to do those ahead of time! Anyways, shoot her an email and maybe that will help you out: contact@jennakylemakeup.com. Good LUCK!!

lucy wu floral design, love her! lucywu.com
i showed her my inspiration, and she was able to recreate it with similar flowers to fit our budget. it had the same fell, just at half the cost. our ceremony flowers, reception centerpieces were simple yet elegant. i used a combination of glass cylander vases with floating candles and flowers submerged in flowers. a few on each table. then used votive candles for place cards to add more mood lighting. very romantic!

Hello -
I have planned a few weddings and worked with various budgets and you definitely do not need a very large floral budget to have have a unique and personal wedding. My sisters wedding last September had a floral budget of roughly $500. We used http://www.fiftyflowers.com/, they did send us the wrong purple stock, but they had amazing customer service and overnighted us the correct flowers and let us keep the others. She had 3 bridesmaids, so the day before and morning off we all put together the arrangements.

You can see some of the images here: http://wittylove.blogspot.com/2011/02/mid-western-love-story-part-ii.html

Good Luck!
