WeddingsNorthValley.com recommends 2 Chico venues and 1 Oroville venue that we believe will accommodate your needs. The challenge for you as yours is a small, intimate event is that you be flexible on days of the week; perhaps a midweek morning followed by brunch or late afternoon followed by cocktails and hors d'oeurves. You will find that these venues can give you exactly what you want if you can be flexible on day of the week. I have included links to these sites on our website.
Skylake has several smaller spaces and I believe that if you speak with Gail Brown, owner, she can accommodate exactly what you have in mind.
Cory's Country Inn http://www.weddingsnorthvalley.com/inthespotlight/coryscountryinnbb.html
Cory's Country Inn is a beautiful bed & breakfast with several outdoor areas that might accommodate you. PLUS, what a beautiful place to start your married life. Call Cory Davis, owner, and explain what you want to do.
The Lott Home
The area around the gazebo at The Lott Home is just beautiful.
I have one additional inspiration for you --- the Chico Museum in downtown Chico on Salem and 2nd Streets! The architecture is remarkable. The sense of place is incredible. And it is intimate. Take a look. This is a lovely little jewel in downtown Chico.

Carol Thomson, The Wedding Lady
Hi Sandra! Here are a couple of websites that might be helpful!
This venue is not in Chico but up in Sterling City above Paradise,
Merlo Park is beautiful. They are closed in the winter because of snow.
There are three large ponds with bridges and cascading water between each one. Also an outside chapelle.
A must see!!
Also Chapelle de l Artiste in Paradise is very beautiful and closer to Chico.
Chico State has an Ampithere on the river behind Laxon. I have photograped weddings there also very pretty.
Hope this may help.
