Getting Married November 6, 2010 Rosemary Beach

Wedding is a year away, but just wanted to start getting some ideas. I'm a little nervous about planning an out of town wedding with no planner. :)

Hi!
Congratulations on your engagement! Rosemary Beach is a beautiful place to get married. There are a lot of wonderful vendors here in our area.
One suggestion I have is to hire a planner, even if it is for just an initial planning day and "day of" coordination. "It's a Shore Thing" is a great events service here. Townsend Catering, Nouveau Florist and of course, Confections on the Coast would make a great team to give you the perfect day!

Hi Erica - We got married in Rosemary in September and planned it from Atlanta without a planner. It is definitely doable. The vendors down there were all really helpful. We used Criollas Catering, Nouveau Florists, Gulf Talent Services for music and Lesley Foley was our photographer. We used Dine by Design to cater the rehearsal dinner and they were also great. Let me know if you have any questions, we really didn't have any issues without having a planner!

Do you have to actually use one of Seaside, Fl ceremony deals? or can you set up what you want on the beaach!?

It depends where you get married. If you are getting married in Rosemary, you have to set it up through the Rosemary Cottage Rental Agency. There are other places in Destin and Panama City that I believe you can set it up through other companies, but the private beaches like Rosemary, Carillon and Seaside you have to have it set up through their companies.

Hey ladies! I, too am looking into Rosemary Beach.. We are from New Jersey, and don't know much about the area or how to plan a wedding for that matter! I would absolutely love to hire a wedding planner, but they're expensive. We are on a $30k budget with a never ending guest list. sigh. How do I get in touch with the Rosemary Cottage Rental Agency? I've emailed and called but haven't heard back. Thanks!
