Stan Hywet! We had our August wedding ceremony there. It was beautiful.
Cuyahoga Valley National Park is beautiful and they have multiple places for both weddings and receptions.
try prestwick country club. the owner told me they've done weddings by the fountain as well as poolside.
also for lists of locations check weddingsincleveland.com and planaperfectwedding.com
great suggestions so far. I love williams on the lake but their $/pp is far too expensive for our guest count.
If you're planning a small wedding (max. 65) we are using the Hilltop Pavilion (Cascade Valley Summit Metroparks) although actually setting chairs and arbor on the hilltop, then going to Papa Joe's Iacomini's just five minutes away.
If you're looking for something larger you might look into Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens... beautiful grounds.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Stan Hywet has been on my list of places to visit. I'll be sure to visit there when I'm home on spring break. :) There will probably be about 150-200 guests, so the hilltop pavillion probably won't work. But I'll keep it in mind if anything changes. :D
help! i need a venue outside, in the akron/mogadore area. big enough to have a tent for the reception. everything i look at is crap(at least on line it does) and everything that looks good is so far away:( can you help me?
