EDINBURGH WEDDING IN JULY
July, 2009 in Edinburgh"We wanted a simple, fun and friendly wedding in the centre of Edinburgh at a reasonable price. The weather either side of our wedding day was atrocious but on the day the sun shone and it was one of the hottest days we'd had this year. After our civil wedding in The City Of Edinburgh Suite at Lothian Chambers we walked down Victoria Street and along the Grassmarket to our reception venue, The Lot. The nearby dance studio was holding an all-day dance demonstration in the pedestrianised area outside which provide free entertainment for anyone going out for a breath of fresh air. The meal was fantastic, everyone raved about the food."

"City of Edinburgh Suite is a lovely, wood-panelled room. The registrar was so in step with us as a couple, the ceremony was fun yet touching. Only quibble was a piper busking outside for tourists - he drowned out our vows!"

"It's not big, it's not fancy but the atmosphere is great, the food is fantastic and all our guests raved about it. The staff are second to none, nothing is too much trouble. Great value for money. The Lot is a non-profit making enterprise, any profits go to charity so you have fun, eat well and do good all at the same time! And a very dramatic backdrop!"
