"What can I say? It was by far the best day of our lives. While we could have gotten married anywhere (and it still wouldn't have been legal), having the wedding in the DC area was incredible. About 90% of our guests were from out of town and the wedding mapper was incredibly helpful. I'm not just saying that either! Of all the things we did to make our guests' feel comfortable, the map on this website was probably one of the most helpful. Enjoy!"

Beautiful grounds and much less expensive than comparable spaces. The house is bare; if you want to be creative and work with a blank slate so-to-speak, this is a great venue.

In regards to all of our hotels, this is just an amazing location. Our guests absolutely raved about being able to metro anywhere and have access to the restaurants/shopping/bars in Old Town. HOWEVER, overall, the Embassy Suites was the least organized of the three hotels we chose so I gave it a lower rating.

Great location (see Embassy Suites review). Spectacular accommodations and they gave Anne and I an upgrade to a suite the night before the wedding. Very organized and highly professional staff.

We love this bar - it's been our favorite since we moved to DC. We had invited all of our out-of-town guests to meet us here the night before the wedding and we were a little scared that we couldn't reserve a room or anything. BUT, Murphy's was awesome. We gave them a heads up a few weeks before and they had extra staff on hand that night. Everything worked out perfectly.
