Hotel
La Quinta Inn & Suites

Restaurant
County Line On the Hill
6500 Bee Cave RdAustin, TX, United States
Don't fill up on barbecue too early, because (not to spoil the surprise) but we're having barbecue from Salt Lick at the reception. However, if you agree that there's no such thing as too much barbecue, then make sure to plan a stop at The County Line.
Kerbey Lane Cafe - South
2700 S Lamar BlvdAustin, TX 78704, US
Phone: 512.445.4451
Kerbey has good non-greasy spoon diner type food, and some fancier foody items. They also have a good selection of vegetarian fare, and a nice atmosphere. See the full menu: http://www.kerbeylanecafe.com/menus/KLC_Full_Menu.pdf
Matt's El Rancho
2613 S Lamar BlvdAustin, TX 78704, US
If you go here please try the smoked brisket tacos or the tacos al pastor. They are delicious!!!
Romeo's
1500 Barton Springs RdAustin, TX, United States
Romeo's is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. You really can't go wrong here, and the patio is a great place to relax.
Teo
1206 W 38th StAustin, TX, United States
Teo's is our favorite gelato place. They have fantastic flavors from a more traditional chocolate to a strangely wonderful cucumber. If you get a large you can have 3 or 4 different flavors to sample all at once, and it's plenty big enough to share.
Attraction
Austin Museum of Art-Laguna Gloria: Laguna Gloria
3809 W 35th StAustin, TX, United States
Saturday April 19th, 2008: Join exhibition artist Martha Gannon for a tour of Laguna Gloria Grounded and learn how she used images of flora and fauna from the area to create her site-specific photography installation. You'll still have plenty of time to get to the wedding at 5pm. There is another AMoA location downtown, but no special scheduled events (yet) this weekend.
Barton Creek Square Mall
2901 S Capital of Texas HwyAustin, TX, United States
Barton Creek Mall is just a mall. It's nice, and if you want some place to go shop they have a good selection of stores. I personally love the Sketchers store.
Hill Country Weavers
1701 S Congress AveAustin, TX 78704, US
This is an awesome yarn store. They have a fine selection of yarn, bulk fiber, and knitting/crochet/felting supplies. They also have really cute bags and other accessories for sale. If you have a fiber hobby you have to go here while you are in Austin. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and can stear you toward what you are searching for.
State of Texas: Capitol Building
1100 San Jacinto BlvdAustin, TX, United States
If you've never been to the state capitol building then this is a must see. The architecture is really beautiful, just be careful staring up into the dome because it can be dizzying.
