"We planned our Port Aransas wedding for June 21, 2008, a place neither of us had ever been; we had a few glitches: our condo was rented out from under us so we had to scramble to find other accomodations less than a week before the wedding! The new accomodations were not up to par, but at least we had a place to stay! I discovered weddingmapper in February ~ could not have planned this wedding without it! Our wedding was beyond my dreams...my husband and I thank weddingmapper for making it so much easier to plan out. Best wishes to all!"

Question:
Hello,
I love your hair in this picture! Where did you have it done? I'm getting married in Port Aransas this July, and I'm going to need a stylist. Thanks in advance for your advice!
Melanie
Response from the couple:
Hi Melanie ~
First, CONGRATULATIONS!
Secondly, thank you so much for the compliment! The ladies name is: Anita Hall, her #: [phone number hidden (log in to view)]. I was actually able to have her come to the hotel and do my hair (not an easy feat considering our wedding was @ 6:37 a.m.) ~ my hair made me feel like a princess, all day! Anita is a friend of Rev. Terry DeAnda ([phone number hidden (log in to view)]) who performed our ceremony AND did our photos! Rev. DeAnda was incredible. We wrote our own vows and she tweeked them and made them even better than we could have imagined.
All the services these two women provided us with were beyond reasonable! I was amazed, again, moreso because of the hour we got married.
Best of luck on your upcoming nuptuals! Please drop me a line and let me know if you use these wonderful women...I don't think you will be disappointed!
Congratulations again,
Stacy
Question:
Hi Stacy! My fiance and I are planning a July wedding and I'm thinking about Port Aransas...how did you pick your ceremony site? Thanks!
Shelley
Response from the couple:
Hi Shelley ~
We wanted a secluded place ~ we ended up with the perfect place...I think our pictures speak for themselves! It was sunrise...everyone gets married at sunset, we chose sunrise to start our day off right!
Please keep us posted on what you decide...
Peace and Blessings,
Stacy
Question:
What condo did you stay at?
Response from the couple:
Chelsea ~
So sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
We went through a website called: VRBO.com We found they had so many options. Unfortunately, the lady we rented our condo from rented it out from under us even after we sent a deposit. She said it was a mix-up with her son (who takes care of the rental business for her). Needless to say, we were a bit freaked out as we did not learn of this until 1 week before the wedding.
I am quite sure you will find some lovely properties on this site. Just make sure you have a contract once they have your deposit!
Congratulations! & Best Wishes to you!
Question:
Where did you have your ceremony and what are the details in reserving the spot, parking and etc. Any information would help. Thank you!
Response from the couple:
First...CONGRATULATIONS!
We were married on a public beach, so there were no reservations required. The beach we used was the one over the boardwalk from our condo.
Since we planned our wedding without having been to Port Aransas, we talked with the condo owners as well as our minister, the florist, etc. Everyone was very helpful.
Hope this helps. Best Wishes to you and yours!
Stacy
Question:
Hey Stacy!!!
I am looking to get married in Port A in July 10. I saw that you had Ceremony on the Beach? I am having a hard time finding info and prices on the internet. I have not been able to find a for sure place to have the ceremony and reception on the beach! Any help or info would be awesome! Thanks!!
Jess
Response from the couple:
Hi Jess:
Since it was a public beach, it was free! I did call the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce; they were very helpful.
Hope this helps...
CONGRATULATIONS!
Stacy
Question:
Hi Stacy! Thank you so much for sharing your pictures with us. I am looking into a beach wedding in the Corpus Christi / Port Aransas area and was wondering how you found such a beautiful location? Everyone keeps telling me there are no beautiful beaches in Texas, but your wedding proves otherwise :-)
Thanks,
Sarah
Response from the couple:
Hi Sarah ~
CONGRATULATIONS!
Whoever told you there are no beautiful beaches in Texas hasn't spent much time in the Pt. Aransas/C. Christi area.
The beach we got married on was right by the condo we rented.
Contact the Pt. Aransas Chamber of Commerce, they can be very helpful. Also, I recommend VRBO.com to find a place to stay. Pt. Aransas is not as bogged down with tourists as Corpus, which is only a 15-20 minute drive away.
Best Wishes to you and your fiance!
Stacy
