NEESHA AND DUSTIN'S WEDDING
June, 2009 in Hilton Head Island
"There are no words to describe how phenomenal and magical our wedding was. We felt truly blessed to be married on Hilton Head and even MORE blessed to have the vendors and people who helped pull our wedding together involved in it! We hope the information we've provided is helpful in making your own day as special, memorable and perfect as ours!

"DO NOT deal with this vendor if at all possible. We hired a band (The Tony Howard Band) through this company who played fabulously...when we could get them to play. They didn't play "soft dinner music" for when our guests were eating or between events such as the "welcome," "prayer" or "toasts." Instead, the band put on an iPod and disappeared. When we asked the wedding coordinator to find them so they could play, she had no luck, though they claimed to be in the "room across the hall," and no such room existed. They hawked their cds during our reception (had a table set up to buy them at AND announced they were selling their cds as if it were a concert or something), took three long breaks (after the hour during dinner that they didn't play), failed to play any music during the introductions of the wedding party (think crickets) and then pulled Tony's 16 year old son on stage to sing the song "Gold Digger" and, somehow, said that WE requested they do these things. I would blame the unprofessionalism on the band and the band alone if the company had at least been willing to hear our complaints, but, instead, they told us we had to complain within a two week span of time for the complaint to matter (we were on our honeymoon in a foreign country for two weeks, making this impossible and a ridiculous request on their part) and they garnished a million and one excuses for why the band did what they did. We paid to have a live band, and we paid quite a bit, and this company, instead, advocated the band's poor, unprofessional behavior without so much as an apology (which is really all we were expecting). They only want good reviews of the bands they represent and will only provide excuses and more excuses when confronted with bad reviews. A week before our wedding, dear friends of ours were married on the island, as well. They had Deas Guyz play and did NOT go through Hilton Head Entertainment and the band was amazing, as was their experience. I would advocate staying far far away from HHE unless you are willing to shell out a whole lot of money for a whole lot of nothing."

"A Floral Affair was INCREDIBLE! Dawn and her staff made the ballroom into a gold-candle-lit wonderland complete with varying floral displays at every table. It was a magical experience. Not only did they provide the flowers, linens, candles, candlesticks...etc. at the reception AND the venue, they took care of minor details, as well: flower girl baskets, programs in a baskets...everything. They were professional, creative, imaginative and exceptional at every turn. We trusted them with our off-the-wall ideas and unmatching desires and they delivered the most incredible atmosphere we could have imagined...a true gem! You'd be crazy not to hire them!"

He captures moments, expressions, but more importantly, emotions in a way that will bring you to tears and laughter without even knowing the subjects. His style is that of a journalist: he who captures without you even knowing, without even being seen. Worth every penny and he feels like he's party of the family by the end. You won't be disappointed! We weren't...if you need more proof, here's a taste: www.neeshaanddustin.com"
Videographer:
Video Memoirs
Hilton Head Island, SC, USA"Cathy Evangelista videographed our entire wedding and caught EVERY single moment and person. Deciding whether we even wanted a videographer was not the top most priority, but my parents really insisted. When we met with Cathy, we knew immediately she was the one! Once we received the videos, I was floored by how phenomenally artistic her editing was and thrilled my parents talked us into getting a videographer. The day could not have been captured as thoroughly without her. Her prices are incredibly reasonable and I feel blessed to have had her share in our wedding day."

"Anissia Shalton is AWESOME! The beginning was a bit rough and tumble as they were moving around some of their personnel, but after two months of uncertainty...along came Anissia. She floored us with her preparation, awareness, organization, accommodating nature and ability to get every tiny detail JUST right. This is rare (we checked out a LOT of venues before we decided on the Westin). We had our cocktail hour outside on the upper pool deck where our guests could see the ocean and be cooled by its salty breeze, and moved our reception to the Archer Ballroom, which (as I said in our review of A Floral Affair) was literally transformed from its ordinarily plain look to a room fit for a queen! Don't be dismayed if you see the room and aren't immediately taken with it, it's big, square, has a fairly unattractive divider, and a greenish rug...but with a little magic and imagination, it's everything you could ever dream of and more. They are willing to try all kinds of things and move anything to meet your requests. Our "tasting" was a sit down meal with small bites from each item we desired for our reception and cocktail hour. It included my mom, fiance, Anissia and myself. We took notes on what we liked, what we wanted changed or what we didn't like, and even got to speak to the chefs to discuss the menu and changes we would have liked made. The week before our wedding, they lost their pastry chef, but found a wonderful replacement who came through with a beautiful, delicious cake. The night of the wedding, the staff surprised us with an ice cream cake (our FAVORITE) with written words detailing all of our most important moments as a couple. Anissia and Danielle were attentive and on sight throughout the wedding and we couldn't have been luckier to have such fabulous coordinators (provided by the hotel, as we did not have a specific "wedding coordinator" hired outside of the venue). They will work with you right down to the tiniest detail and the last minute. A true pleasure!"
