KATHRYN AND ANDREW'S WEDDING
October, 2012 in Charleston"Our wedding was incredible. Our families and friends loved the area and the venues. Everything came together beautifully. And October is one of the best times to visit Charleston. The weather over our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. Word to the wise, though - plan ahead! October is also the most popular month of the year, so sites and services get booked far in advance. We started looking at venues 13-14 months in advance, and date selection was already limited for the following fall."

Band:
Fantasy Band
Atlanta, GA, USA"We had a great time on our wedding night with Fantasy! This five-piece band kept all of our guests moving all evening long with good music, lots of energy, and good crowd interaction."
Cakes/Candies Vendor:
The Village Bakery
125 Pitt StreetMount Pleasant, SC, United States
"Communicating with them was a little difficult, which is why they lost a star, but they make absolutely DELICIOUS cakes! We selected a carrot cake and it was out of this world. They delivered a very delicious product. I would absolutely use them again despite the communication lapses."
Caterer:
Cru Catering
1784 Harmon StreetCharleston, SC, United States
"We did three tastings when we were choosing a caterer, and Cru blew everyone else out of the water with amazing food. We knew we didn't have a thing to worry about when we chose them. The guests all raved about the food. Emily is super nice as well. Very good service, food, and beverage. Highly recommended!"
Limo Company:
Charleston Black Cab
Charleston, South Carolina, United States"Reliable and cute cars. Affordable too! Our driver was extremely nice."
Officiant:
Doug Farmer - Charleston Wedding Officiant
Charleston, SC, USA"Doug wrote a beautiful and very touching wedding ceremony for us that made us feel as though he'd known us for years, even though we only hired him for the wedding. He was a total professional and a good communicator. Would highly recommend him. Organized and always made us feel at ease."
Photographer:
Chi Pritchard
544 Beverly DriveSummerville, SC, United States
"Chi did a great job keeping everyone on track on the wedding day. She was on the move constantly during the course of the reception -- she did not seem to miss a thing. Our photos are absolutely wonderful. She captured the glorious sunlight that we were lucky enough to have during our wedding reception, the beautiful waning light as we took formal photos at dusk, and hundreds of wonderful candid moments at the reception. We felt that her fees were very fair as well. We highly recommend Chi!"
Rentals Vendor:
Group Dynamics
2285 Technical ParkwayNorth Charleston, SC, United States
"Jonathan went above and beyond to get the job done and to help us with anything we needed when our wedding coordinator nearly left us in the lurch. They offered us wonderful rates and did a great job overall. Very friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommended!"
Wedding Day Beauty Vendor:
Stella Nova Salon Mt. Pleasant
2048 Sam Rittenberg BoulevardCharleston, SC, United States
"I loved my hair and makeup! They also did my bridesmaids' hair and my mom's makeup. Everyone looked wonderful and left very happy. Emily is the best."
Wedding Fashion Vendor:
Ann Hamilton Bridal
113 Pitt StreetMount Pleasant, SC, United States
"Ann did an absolutely wonderful job altering my wedding dress. When I brought it to her, it was nearly two sizes too big. She offered me a very fair price to take the dress in, hem the bottom (which was lace), and add a bustle. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, made the experience very relaxing, and took very good care of my dress. When I first came to her, I was slightly stressed about the fact that the dress fit so poorly and nervous about handing it over to someone to take apart. Three fittings later, the dress fit like a glove and felt like it had truly become mine. I loved wearing it on my wedding day and was showered with compliments. Ann's studio is homey and very personal -- a good reflection of the experience that I had working with her. I highly recommend working with Ann."

Jules was extremely helpful in coordinating our block. Most of our guests ended up staying here for the combination of price, convenience, and overall quality for the money. Good value."

"The only reason we give four stars rather than five is that the sound system was broken the day of our rehearsal dinner. The event coordinator brought over a portable Bose speaker system, but it was too weak to be heard. Other than that, it was the absolute perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner. We lucked out with an absolutely gorgeous night and the BBQ/lowcountry boil that we hosted outside on the deck was a huge hit, as was the sunset over the water."
