HEATHER AND JIM 'S WEDDING

June, 2011 in San Juan
Pink_ask_a_question

Ceremony: Casa Olímpica

Florist:

Lorraine Flowers

San Juan, PR, Puerto Rico

"Ms. Lorraine made beautiful centerpieces, alter pieces, and my bouquet for our wedding. We wanted a tropical-themed wedding because my husband grew up in PR and I in Hawaii. I wanted fresh flowers from the island and Ms Lorraine did not disappoint. We had beautiful reds and yellows and oranges- birds of paradise, orchids, ginger flowers and big banana leaves. They truly were more beautiful than I had imagined."

"We had our ceremony in the atrium/garden area outside and our reception was held in the large reception room. My wedding planner coordinated with the manager of Casa Olimpica for most of the details. Some features of the building are beautiful, but there are some cosmetic items that could easily be repaired that were not- like light covers undone, trash in large urns. But most are not so obvious that they are eyesores. However, we did have to ask specifically for items to be removed or cleaned prior to our event. The bathrooms are nothing fancy so we decorated and brought baskets with high quality paper towels, etc. Altogether for the price the place was great. With our flowers and tables/decor the place was pretty. Plus, after the wedding, we could walk right down to Old San Juan for our after party. (We had to be out of Casa Olimpica by 1am.)"
