DELAWARE WEDDING IN SEPTEMBER

"Our wedding turned out fabulous - we couldn't be happier. It took way more trust than I was used to with our vendors, but everyone but one came through for us in the end. September is a great month to be married in - although the Friday night poured rain, our wedding day dawned dry and clear. The wedding mapper was very helpful to our guests, most of whom were out of town or from the UK. Recommend it!"

"Liz does a yummy cake (note: most of her cakes involve mousse so temperature is an issue), even though what you get as part of your package is VERY basic in terms of decoration. We ended up paying extra for a simple design. Fairly responsive to email, especially as time went on. We also used Liz for another event and the desserts were delicious!"

"Fun place to learn to dance. The group lessons are affordable, although you don't always get to dance with your partner (they make you rotate). Although, if they don't have enough people enrolled they will cancel the class, which is frustrating. I suggest at least some private instruction. Tim, our instructor, was very good."

"Judy did a great job with the flowers and was willing to work with us to fulfill our vision. However, she is not responsive to emails or phone calls because she is so busy (?) so you have to be persistent. A little unprofessional, but like I said, she came through in the end. The flowers came out great! (Also, she is a lot cheaper than established flower shops as she does not have a store front - yay!)"

"We loved Buker!! We got 3 vehicles from them and each one was on time, clean, and the driver was friendly and professional. They also didn't watch the clock - if you're paying for 3 hours, I don't think they should be docking you if you go 5 minutes over, especially at a wedding. Buker didn't. They were very laid back, and the drivers rocked. One of them even held the church door open for me and my dad to walk through, as I hadn't thought to need someone to do it. HIGHLY recommended. The Rolls is awesome, and the Stretch Excursion was very luxurious. Everyone in the bridal party was thrilled."

"Granted, the place smells like moth balls but they had a good selection to try on and were able to get the tuxes we needed - even with last minute size corrections. They were the only shop in our area to have brown tuxes - yes, it sounds weird but they looked awesome."

"Great hotel, and breakfast is included! Their sales people were always available and responsive to requests (i.e. who has already booked in the room block) and if one left the company we got a call telling us our new contact details. Our guests were very happy with this hotel."

"Hotel amenities were fine but I can not stress enough how much their staff sucked. They were horrible. They did not respond to emails until I stalked them (the first few times I did wait patiently for a response but eventually stopped doing that) and they messed up our room block by booking a couple into two separate rooms and then giving us attitude when we refused to pay (we had told their Sales Director about the mistake weeks before the wedding). The Sales Director left and no one told me - I had to finally call the main switchboard (after 3 days of waiting for an email back) to find that out! Horrendous. I wouldn't recommend this place to an enemy."
