Hi Jamie! We very much enjoyed having the wedding at Laurelhurst Park and Club. The club is very pretty and doesn't need a lot of decoration, if you like the semi-rustic wooden-beams-and-tiny-lights type of look. And of course the park is beautiful. Rudolf, who is the manager of the club, was very nice and accommodating. I don't remember if it says this on the website, but the club also has a full kitchen with stoves and refrigerators, which was very very convenient.

The main downside of the club was that we had to be out (like, all cleaned up out) by 10pm, and we couldn't turn up the music very loud because it's in a residential neighborhood and they have noise restrictions. A live band would probably be very difficult to do, although Rudolf did say that in the winter when they can close the windows it can be a bit louder.

We reserved the two picnic sites at the park right across the street from the club, D and E, and had the ceremony in between them. I'm glad we reserved both, because they're close enough that it would have been pretty awkward to have someone's birthday party or something right there. The park, of course, has a lot of restrictions about what you can and can't do, but I think it was pretty reasonable.
