"Chris and I were married on January 3, 2009, at the Cutten Club in Guelph. It was a dream wedding. Chris and I are from out of town, and we were not able to deal with all of the details that planning a wedding necessitates! However, Vanessa at the Club was fantastic. Because of her, planning our wedding was easy. She took care of so many details, both large and small. She made every effort to ensure that our big day went smoothly. And it did. The day we got married was stress free and unbelievably fun, and it was honestly because of Vanessa and the rest of the staff at the Cutten Club. The Cutten Club as a wedding venue was incredible. It is absolutely gorgeous, both inside and out. We had a winter wedding, and the carpet of snow over the golf course was stunning, as were our outdoor photographs! We were a bit apprehensive about marrying in the winter, but now we are recommending it to all of our friends! The inside of the Club was even better. Our wedding was elegant, and the atmosphere was both sophisticated and welcoming at the same time. The place settings were stunning, as were the chair treatments, table cloths and runners. The room was large, with very high ceilings, and our photographer kept commenting on how excellent the lighting was--we have some amazing photos by the windows with the light streaming in. The food at the Club was fantastic. After the ceremony (which was also held at the club), staff offered our guests appetizers, which looked great and tasted even better! Everyone said that the meal was excellent--the portions were generous and the presentation was beautiful. And most importantly, everything tasted great. Even our vegetarian friends were impressed by the vegetarian entree. We had a cheese and dessert table later in the night and it, too, looked fabulous. We did not run out of anything! Vanessa was extremely helpful in helping us choose our menu options, and even recommended wines to go with our meal. The staff was courteous and friendly, and went out of their way to ensure that our day was perfect, going so far as to add extra potatoes and vegetables to my husband's plate, because he has such a large appetite! The meal was served quickly and efficiently, and did not interfere in any way with the speeches, which were going on at the same time. As for logistics, the location was easy to find, with several large hotels nearby. Vanessa even provided us with an easy to read map that we could add to the invitations. There was plenty of parking. I got dressed at the Club, and there was lots of space to get ready. The bathrooms were lovely and very clean! Everyone commented on how beautiful our wedding was, how elegant the rooms looked, and how smoothly everything went, from the ceremony to the reception. It looked so effortless--but Chris and I both know that it was due to the tireless work of Vanessa and the fantastic staff at the Club. I can honestly say that I had the wedding of my dreams--it was beautiful, elegant, and best of all, practically effortless. I would recommend to anyone thinking of getting married in the Toronto area to seriously consider the Cutten Club for their ceremony and reception. We did, and we have absolutely no regrets. To Vanessa and the staff at the Club, thanks a million times over, we could not have had a better day, and we will cherish our wedding memories (and fantastic photos) forever. Wilma & Chris"
