BILL AND JOANNA'S WEDDING
October, 2007 in Bath"I highly recommend the Hale Farm wedding. You can go all out "Hale Farm" and pretend its 18-whatever, or you can just have an elegant modern wedding in a peaceful natural setting. Whatever you choose, I would recommend having their glass blower make ornaments for your favors. Your guests will rave about them, and its fun to see them hanging in your friends and relatives houses."

"I was very happy with my cake. It tasted great, and looked pretty much how I wanted it to. She kinda got the colors wrong though. Karin is a little too "into" flowers. She had to make the flowers match the season, but I just wanted fuschia. The flowers ended up very small and pink. And she showed me a price, and I left her a deposit. When I went to pay the balance, th price seemed higher than we agreed. I'm not sure what happened, but get her estimate in writing if you choose to use her. She is a talented cake lady, and the cake will be really good!"

"They did a great job. They are a full service catering company. They will take care of the entire reception! They arrange the tables, handle the linens, set up centerpieces, and the food is great! They worked with our food choices, and my special linen requests, and served my cake. They will also allow you to purchase your own liquor and alcohol and they will serve it for you! I was extremely happy with "Taste of Excellence!""

"This is a little flower shop in Hudson, OH. The lady that owns the shop is pretty weird. She doesn't have a website, or even a computer. She can't give you any prices right away because she has a "bookkeeper" that needs a couple days to make estimates. My flowers turned out great, I can't really complain about that. But the owner is hard to work with. She has all kinds of crazy ideas you have to constantly say "No" and she still pushes you! And she is very disorganized, she forgot that I wanted a very large cascading bouquet. My bouquet was very pretty, but I was very disappointed at how small it was. (It was just "normal" sized.) But I do have to admit that the flowers were absolutely georgeous, its just that a lot of special details I had requested were missed."
Honeymoon:
Napili Kai Beach Resort

"Just a really great Honeymoon location! The staff was really nice, and the location was very nice. But its Hawaii, isn't everything nice there?!?"
Jeweler:
Jewelry Art
116 N Main StHudson, OH, United States
"Don't go to the mall if you really want the best rings. Every other jeweler tried to talk my husband and I out of platinum. To be honest, I wouldn't feel comfortable purchasing platinum jewelry anywhere else. They have the experience, and they really know how to help you pick an engagement ring, and wedding bands. Its hard to explain why they are so good at selling jewelry, but if you go there you'll understand and you won't want to buy anywhere else!"

"Jeannette is a very talented photographer. She is pleasant and has lots of great photo ideas. You will truly be smiling in all your pictures! Once you meet her, you will be dying to have her do your wedding too! And afterwards, you will get your pictures on a disc, in a useable format!!! very quickly!!! And you have the option of a high resolution disc if you like. She can also make your albums, but I have not done that."
Wedding Day Beauty Vendor:
Transitions Hair Studio
9378 Market Square DrStreetsboro, OH, United States
"My hair turned out great. My make-up was a little over the top, but it did look great in the pictures. They are very talented. But they gossip a lot. I would continue to go there if they weren't so "chatty.""
Wedding Fashion Vendor:
Jabbour's Clothing & Tailoring
3310 Kent Rd # 4Stow, OH, United States
"When you buy your dress online, you will need a tailor to alter and bustle it! Jabbour's is mostly a men's suit tailor, but they did a great job on my dress. And they aren't snobby like some bridal salon ladies can be."
Wedding Fashion Vendor:
House of Brides
Bath, Ohio, USA"My dress was about $800 in bridal salons, and who knows what they were going to charge for alterations. I only paid $400 for the exact same dress, and I ordered my bridesmaid dresses at the same time and we all got free shipping! The only drawback was that you have to wait a long time for your dress and it is very nerve-wracking!!!!"

Church

Bath, Ohio 44210

"This old church is great! Inside the walls are so white! The rug on the floor was handwoven by the people at Hale Farm. You might be tempted to dress it up with a lot of stuff since it is so white! But don't!!! The stark white is so impressive it doesn't need dressing up. There is room up front for a string quartet, or there is a balcony where you could have a DJ play your music. There isn't a lot of room up on the stage, so a large wedding party might not work out well. We had 3 on each side and that worked OK."

Gatehouse

"The Gatehouse is a really great place for a wedding! It is sort of broken up into 2 spaces, a foyer and a dining room. There is even space outside if weather and daylight allow. (We did not use any outdoor space.) You can have appetizers and the bar in the foyer, then dinner in the dining room. Then you can move back into the foyer for dessert and dancing! I think it was helpful for the caterers. I highly recommend the Hale Farm wedding experience!"
