We went on a cruise for four days and five nights. This was my first experience cruising, and I've got to say I loved it! An abundance of delicious food, entertainment, relax time, and so many destinations to see!

Ballantrae Park

Ballantrae park has long been my favorite park in the Dublin area. Even before we were married, my husband and I often strolled about it's green lawn. It has a such a light-hearted, yet picturesque, European atmosphere. The "Boxing Hares" are the perfect topper to the scene (and also provide a magnificent wedding theme)! At around 125,000 a piece for the statues, you can get a pricey setting for free at this public park. The city keeps the lawn and landscape exceptionally well manicured, and when we asked the city about having a wedding there, they were kind enough to make sure they had it in tip-top shape! As a public park, it could not have it close exclusively for our wedding, but we found that people were respectful of what was taking place and steered clear. The biggest perk of having the wedding at Ballantrae Park (besides the fact that it was FREE) were the wonderful and unique photo opportunities. There are a large variety of backdrops -all within a short distance of each other- including a fake stone house ruins, stretches of flat green grass, perfectly placed boulders, a pond, a stone bridge, the Hares statues, waterfalls, and many more. I couldn't have been more surprised when Dublin said that my wedding was the first they had ever had at Balantrae, but may I also be the first to recommend to others!

A very friendly staff, that's easy to work out details with! Table and chair set-up is included in the price, but your caterer will pay to use the adjacent kitchen (not you, if you do the food yourself). The venue is beautiful, large, has tall ceilings, surround sound, a projector screen at the flip of a switch, and they'll set up dance floor too! If you know you're way around a computer (or know someone who does) you could do what my husband and I did. We brought our MacBook Pro in, hooked it up, showed a video we made on the projector screen (you know, pictures of us as little kids, then growing up, then as a couple all with tear jerking music playing in the background), and then latter let the dance music run on a playlist with the best man DJing! We all had a smashing time. It worked GREAT, and the best part was that it was FREE! In short, this is a great venue with a great price considering all the perks!

Comfort Inn Marysville

Friendly staff, and nice new, modern interior. Great price. The down side were a few billing mix-ups. It was a fiasco getting sorted out again.

This award winning mall is one of a kind. Half indoors, half out. One is guaranteed to find something they absolutely enjoy (besides the fresh air) amidst the stores and excellent restaurants.
