Cakes/Candies Vendor:
The Cake Lady (Holly Levin)
Seattle, WA, USA"Everyone thought this was the best tasting wedding cake ever--and very pretty, too. We did chocolate ganache and very simple decor. Holly is a gold-medalist cake decorator, but her simpler wedding cakes are actually some of the most affordable around, especially when you consider the quality. Five stars, even though one of our cake's flavor seemed to be missing (couldn't detect an orange/grand marnier flavor in one of the chocolate parts of the cake)."
Florist:
Flower Exchange
Seattle, WA, USA"Best prices for DIY flowers for February wedding. Excellent quality, too. Be sure to follower their advice and have plenty of time and help if you go the DIY route!"
Photographer:
Red Fish Blue Fish Photography
Seattle, WA, USA"Excellent, especially for candid shots and unique shots. On our honeymoon we got just a tiny bit worried, because after a few posed shots we seriously did not see them most of the wedding & reception. No worries--we came home to over 700 photos. Totally unobtrusive, which is important if you don't really like being photographed (I don't). Be specific if you want shots of certain people together. They are classy and won't hold you hostage for extended cheesy portraits."

"Interesting venue for an in-town wedding. Everyone thought it was a pretty cool venue. Relative to other venues available in winter, it was affordable. It's funky in both good and bad ways, it depends on what you care about. For example I wound up making my own chair covers for the round and red chairs and renting odd sizes of tablecloths, because both the chairs and tables are completely non-standard. This may not be an issue if you can live with red-seated chairs and tablecloths that are not floor-length. Also they seriously inconvenienced us by suddenly saying (the week of the wedding) that they couldn't be at their office or make it to the post office to pick a certified letter (containing the check for the final deposit), demanding instead that our parents bring a $5000 cashier's check with them on the plane to deliver as soon as they arrived in town. WTF? That said, just about everyone I know in this area has had some issue or issues with their venue vendors not being clear about fees and otherwise not being very customer/bride-oriented--we stopped pursuit of another venue when no one would return phone calls. So no matter where you rent, try to figure out what details matter to you, what doesn't matter, and be way more detailed than you think you need to be in your contract. If you don't like a venue's chairs or tablecloths or other deco, if you wind up renting these things, of course that will increase the actual "cost" of that venue."
