Tarrytown Wedding In October
October, 2007, Tarrytown, NY
Venues
Ceremony & Reception
Castle On the Hudson
400 Benedict Ave
Tarrytown, NY USA
(914) 631-1980
The Castle, the food, the service, our coordinator...everything down to our maitre'd on the big day was incredible. Everyone I spoke to that night was saying it was the most elegant wedding they had ever been to. Everyone was treated like royalty, especially us. I had chosen all of my vendors from their recommendation list and everyone was just as perfect as the castle itself.
Hotel
Sheraton Tarrytown Hotel
600 White Plains Rd
Tarrytown, NY USA
The Sheraton was a fairly new hotel, so it had cheaper prices which attracted alot of our out-of-towners. Unfortunately, its more of a businessmen's hotel, than someone visiting for a few days. There were no dressers for my guests clothes, the shuttles only carried so many people at a time (and not one more, even if it was a child), there was no continental breakfast....the list goes on. I had several problems with the staff not sending confirmation emails to my guests or taking changes and not saving them. They were not holding the reservations either; One of my bridesmaid's room was given away, so they were sent to another hotel for the night! Terrible!!

Most of my friends stayed here because it was the cheaper of the three hotels, and I wish I could have sent everyone here! They had a great continental breakfast, friendly staff and the rooms were very comfortable, with a desk, dresser, couch, kitchen-type area. Very very nice!
Westchester Marriott
670 White Plains Rd
Tarrytown, NY 10591, US
We only had a handful of guests that stayed here, but I heard it was beautiful. The hotel has 2 different restaurants right inside for the guests to dine which is really nice. And the rooms were apparently very nice for the price too.
Airport
Westchester County Airport-White Plains: Westchester County Bus Service
100 E 1st St
Mount Vernon, NY USA

We love this airport. Its so great because its so small and convenient to us. And although its a little pricier than the other NY area airports, its worth every cent for peace of mind. For anyone who gets nervous to travel, this is a nice break from the normal hectic airport. It was also easy for all of our guests that rented cars to find the hotels from here.

Good Atmosphere. Great Food. Unbelievable selection of beer.
Sunset Cove Restaurant
238 Green St
Tarrytown, NY 10591, US
Sunset Cove offers dining the way it was meant to be: unique, fresh, mouthwatering entrees served as close to the resplendent Hudson River as you can get. It's hard to believe, but the views of the majestic Hudson, the sparkling lights of the Tappan Zee Bridge and soaring Palisades take a backseat to the masterful culinary delights that await.

"Our wedding in Tarrytown, NY was unbelievable! The Castle was breathtaking and made us feel so secluded, yet the hotels and restaurants for everyone were only minutes away. It was such a gorgeous time of year and everything was just perfect. Our guests hotels were less than 2 miles from the train station so it was close enough that the shuttles took them to the station and back for free - And they were only a short ride from the big city!"
