It's very easy to get to this area from the Tappan Zee or the G.W. Bridges and it really didn't take too long for our guests from the Bronx and Long Island to get there either."

FABULOUS!!! We highly, highly recommend the Colonial Inn. We had our ceremony and reception and the staff there went way above and beyond for us. I was in the hospital the week of the wedding and had to finish planning from my hospital bed. Then I had a very restricted diet which the Colonial honored and actually managed to make plain food taste pretty good (right after the wedding I went in for gall bladder surgery instead of a honeymoon). The staff really made it possible for us to finish everything by phone and were really good at helping to calm down my groom who had to pick up the pieces while I was in the hospital. According to our guests the food was excellent and the service was outstanding.

The Holiday Inn was in a perfect location (less than 4 miles from the Colonial Inn and about 3 miles from the Palisades Mall). The sales staff was very accomodating when we had a family member who needed an accessible room after having had surgery. Despite the fact that they were oversold that night, they were able to put her in an upgraded room and didn't charge the higher rate. The renovated rooms in the "Registry" building were wonderful and even the ones in the older section were fine. The continental breakfast was very helpful. The only complaint is that they did not staff the pub/restaurant properly considering the fact that two large weddings were staying at the hotel and we had warned them that we knew we would have our guests come back to the pub after our reception (which ended at 4:30pm). We were really impressed by the one bartender who was working (and it was only her 2nd day), but they really needed more staff considering the volume of guests. This was also true for people who went to the breakfast in the restaurant the next day, it was not staffed properly at all. Nevertheless, we appreciated their service and the rooms and location were great.
