"Our wedding was great! It proved you really can have an amazingly beautiful wedding in Philly without breaking the bank. Just have to think outside the box. Labor Day weekend weather can be touch-and-go, but we lucked out with the most beautiful day of the month. Wedding Mapper made it easier for our guests to understand the itinerary and get around town. It really was a great resource to share with our guests. We'd highly recommend using it!"

Caterers

Nicole Petrongolo
Philadelphia, PA, USA

Nicole was in her final year of culinary school when I hired her. Not only was she the hardest working individual I'd met during wedding planning, but her work spoke for itself. The presentation the day-of was simply incredible. The food was delicious and her recommendations were right on point. I can't wait to hire her for my next event!

Bands/Live Entertainment

Matt Galletti Jazz Band
Philadelphia, PA, USA

Matt and his band were tremendous! They sounded incredible and engaged whoever was on the dance floor- kids and adults alike. Don't waste money on cliche, expensive wedding bands- Matt's is the best!

Reception

the Atwater Kent Museum
15 S 7th St
Philadelphia, PA 19106, US

Working with Julie at the Kent was a dream. After getting burned by another venue and the caterer associated with it, we had lots of questions and concerns. But Julie was a pro at putting our fears to rest. Her assistant, Jennifer, on the other hand was a nightmare to work with. Moody, full of attitude, and generally disagreeable, she made the whole process stressful and difficult. I was assured that she would be nothing but polite and pleasant the day of the wedding, but instead she ruined the mood and was just plain nasty to a number of guests. After a temper-tantrum that included her stomping off in the middle of my reception saying, "I've been here all day and I don't need this," she left and the party really got started. Some pros: some decorations were allowed be dropped off the night before, the museum has great access for deliveries, and it's location can't be beat (quiet and off the beaten path, but centrally located!). Cons: the awful assistant, a garden that has no flowers, all set-up, tables, & chairs can only be delivered the day of.

Hotel

Hotel Sofitel

FANTASTIC! I can't say enough wonderful things about Anthony at the Sofitel. He called three days before the event to go over plans, special accommodations, questions and concerns. I set up room service for my groom, family, and the bridal suite and it arrived on time and with excellent quality. Guests were thrilled by the staff, the cleanliness, superior service and the restaurant/bar. We were upgraded to a suite, which was such an amazing surprise and made for beautiful shots with our photographer as I got ready. This hotel is definitely the best in Philly!
