St. Mary's is beautiful. The only issue is that since there are so many weddings you only have a 2 hour window. You can rent extra hours if they don't have anyone before or after you but that is unlikely if you are getting married at a popular time. Since we wanted to able to take photos outside and have plenty of time we had our wedding photos made before the ceremony at the Duke Mansion. It's very beautiful and for a small fee you can use the house and grounds. We also spent our wedding night there in the Dowd Suite. I would highly recommend it. We used Dottie and Dr. Patrick Maloy as the director and minister. They work together often along with Barbara Wells-Hodges (organist) and have done hundreds of weddings at St. Mary's. With them you can't go wrong. They will make everything perfect. Everyone loved our ceremony. Even though Dr. Maloy has done a few thousand weddings he makes the ceremony special and unique for you. It was very personal. Chris Marsh of photoplaync.com was our photographer. She was easy to work with and has great photos and prices.

Great location, great building! Men's bathroom is the only negative but you can live with that. Best Impressions Catering did the reception and did a wonderful job. It was beautiful and the food was awesome. Dale Richardson did the cake and it was awesome, just what we wanted and tasted wonderful. Blossom Shop was our florist and we used Brass Act Carolina for music.

Great location. Great price. We had a little trouble with reservations to our wedding block through the Marriott corporate reservations group but the Hotel Sales Manager was great and made sure everything was taken care of.
