Question:
I am planning on renewing our vows at Wiseman's View next July but have never actually been there. Do you recomend the place, are the steps safe, and about how many people can stand on the steps and see the "pulpit" to view the ceremony? Any tips will help. Thanks, Patti
Response from the couple:
Hi Patti
I sent you an e-mail but wanted to hit here too. My name is Lori from Mountain Visions Florist & Events. I was Marsha & Paul's wedding planner & florist. The steps are safe but will fit only about 6 people safely. Paul and Marsha did not get married on the steps, but above them. The walk from the parking area to the View is about 1/2 mile. I don't recommend children being there without parents. Also, you need to get a permit from the US Forest Service. There are rattlesnakes out there, but we did not see any on this day. The path from the parking area to the actual View is paved. Marsha's mom was wheeled down in her wheel chair with ease. The wedding was beautiful with the View as the backdrop. However, if it rains, it is hard to get up to Wiseman's View and then there is the long walk to the View. You need to travel on a dirt road about 3 miles and takes about 30 - 45 minutes to get to the view because the road is pretty rough. If I can be of any help you can e-mail me at [email hidden (log in to view)]
