I love Italian -- Mitch not so much! Salad, breadsticks and pasta! Yum!

Salty Iguana

If you're wanting to eat Mexican and not go too far, Salty Iguana will do it! Plus it is super close to the new Bass Pro Shop. I don't think we've had anything we don't like there. Mitch ALWAYS gets a chimi!

In case you want to catch a movie! This is right across from Independence Center -- the mall.

Bass Pro Shop

This is the new Bass Pro Shop in Independence. The address according to Bass Pro Shops website is 18001 Bass Pro Drive - but I couldn't find it using google maps or mapquest -- must be too new! The address I used to locate it on this map is just across 40hwy -- You can see Bass Pro from 291hwy, 40hwy, I-70 and Lee's Summit Road. There are entrances on Lee's Summit Road and on 40hwy.

Kansas City Union Station

This is Kansas City's Union Station that was fully restored a few years ago. Now it is an entertainment hub that houses several restaurants, exhibits and theaters, and most importantly history of Kansas City. A current exhibit receiving a ton of attention is Bodies Revealed.

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

The Nelson is located just off of the Plaza. This would be a good way to spend an afternoon -- walking around looking at all the art the museum has -- and finishing up with a stroll and dinner at a great restuarant on the Plaza!
