Another public course that is really close by, and challenging enough for intermediate and lower level golfers.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

I haven't seen it myself but I hear that it is interesting for any baseball lover. Hmmm, maybe that's why I haven't found the time to visit it. Hours are Tues-Sat 9-6, Sun noon-6, admission is $6 for adults.

American Jazz Museum

Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art

Our very own modern art museum. It's small but home to a Chihuly and some interesting sculptures. Free to see and easy to get to if you're spending an afternoon at the Plaza.

Liberty Memorial Museum (WWI Museum)

Voted best WWI Museum in the United States, takes 4-6 hours to look at everything. Open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am-5pm Adults $8 Seniors (65+) $7 Kids (6-11) $4 Under 6 Free (Add $2 for Adults, $1 all others, and climb up the tower for a scenic view of K.C.)

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

Beautiful museum right off of the plaza. Free to see the classic stuff. In the summer of 2007 they added the Bloc Building that carries very cool modern art and rotating instalments. (Ever seen pictures of the giant birdies?)

Palazzo 16 Theaters

Our favorite movie theater in town. For now, free small popcorn with every movie ticket! Movies before noon $5.50, Movies after noon $7.50

The Children's Museum

For anyone bringing kids, this is a great way to spend a few hours. It is kid-friendly and hand's on. They have different programs that you can attend (Family Fun Days, Talent Tuesday). Hours are Tues - Sat 9:30-5, Sun 1-5, admission is $5 for kids over 2. (Don't be scared to travel this far north...Anonymous's school is just down the street!)
