"The Chesapeake Bay Foundation was a perfect location for our wedding in which we wanted a relaxed beach environment but close to DC. The setting is unmatched in the area and the building provides a fantastic modern backdrop for a stunning event. Turns out the day we got married the winds were gusting but the sides for the tent over the deck were available which kept most of it out. The beach setting was gorgeous, however due to the wind we did have some wind surfers going by. Chris, the coordinator was very responsive within a short time frame and quite accommodating. The representative on site on the day however did not provide much assistance and is mainly there to turn things on and off I suppose. The venue is quite bare bones and you do not get much for the cost besides the rental of the building. This does allow you to put your own style to the venue as opposed to a banquet hall. Although you do not get much for the money in rentals etc, the setting is unmatched and your money is going towards a very worthy organization as opposed to a commercial wedding venue. We got so many compliments on the unique venue which really set the scene for our wedding. I totally recommend this location for a wedding or any event!"

"A majority of our Guests stayed at this hotel and seemed happy with it. The rooms are nice and a decent size. The location is great, can walk downtown which is what I wanted for guests. In general they were very accomidating. Since they are not a chain, their reservations are only really available 9-5 which is something I would let guests know if you have a room block."
