"This was our first "official" date. It's a cute little book mill with both a fancy and non-fancy restaurant area. (We chose the non-fancy part). Its located on a stream and also has a used book shop, a great spot for an afternoon visit. It's dubbed "books you don't need in a place you never knew existed""

"Another great mountain which you can drive or walk up. Has great views of the Connecticut River and many mountain ranges, including the southern Holyoke Mountain Range/Mount Holyoke, which we've also point out on our map."

"The rail road that appears here is actually a bike / pedestrian path. It can be accessed one block north of the hotel on the other side of route 9. It connects Northampton, Hadley, Amherst and Belchertown. It provides an opportunity to explore, exercise or travel into Northampton/Amherst. Bikes can be rented at Trailside Bikes http://www.trailsidebicycles.com/index.html"

"A great drive or hike with views as far out as Springfield or even Hartford on a clear day. There is also a summit house which used to be a mountain top hotel back in the 1800's."
