Greenbelt Cultural Center

The GCC was a beautiful venue and the staff were quite helpful and friendly. We had our ceremony outdoors and our reception inside. It's a great location for both. Definitely recommended.

Courtyard Chicago Waukegan/Gurnee

We had an awful experience with this hotel. It is where we stayed and the place we recommended to our family and friends. We based this recommendation on the fact that they were to provide a shuttle service to our wedding venue for guests staying at the Courtyard. They were also to host a brunch for our guests in a private room the morning after our wedding. They failed on both counts. There was NO shuttle. There was NO room for our brunch. Nearly everything about our wedding was close to perfect. Everything associated with this hotel was AWFUL. And when we asked for the management to make things right with us, they were less than cooperative. We ended up going all the way to the highest office at Marriott to speak with a customer service liason there. Stay away from Courtyard Waukegan!!!

Very tasty Oaxacan style food. Margaritas! We recommend the sopes, chicken soup, fried calamari, and the shrimp and fish tacos.

Opart Thai House Restaurant

Have been going here for years. Large menu, consistently good, with a great atmosphere.

Smoque B B Q

Northside BBQ, that's right. There are people that are addicted to this place. We're within walking distance, so we have to watch ourselves. Thumbs up on nearly everything; pulled pork, brisket, chicken, the fries, the mac & cheese. This place is dynamite.

Tub Tim Thai Restaurant

The best panang curry in the city. Incredibly friendly staff, beautiful presentation, and reasonably priced.
