This is our version of Sea World :) It is next to my faviorite part of the Island- Makapuu Beach. There is a hike up to the light house. The view is breathtaking and if you are lucky you will be able to see humback whales swimming and playing in the water!
Sharks Cove
This is a great snorkelling spot. HOWEVER, as with all beaches in Hawaii,please be sure remember that winter on the north shore causes high surf and the current can be very dangerous. Never turn your back against the waves and watch out for underwater currents and always check the surf conditions. Pay attention to signs posted on the beach. If you are not sure about the conditions, ask the lifeguards

This beach is famous for their resident turtles that swimin the shore and rest on the beach. Please be aware that the turtles (Honu) are on the endangered list. There are usually volunteers who are extremly knowledgeable about the honu.
