PORTSMOUTH WEDDING IN AUGUST
August, 2008 in Portsmouth, UK
"We were planning a low-budget beach wedding with the Register Office ceremony first and then later a picnic near the Square Tower under the Arches. I can really recommend this as a zero-cost venue. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good enough to do it on the beach (on the other side of the Arches) as it was rainy and all the food would have blown away. You wouldn't expect this in August, would you!
The wedding was also completely Fairtrade and ethical. Food was home-made or came from Co-Op supermarket which have a huge selection of Fairtrade food and drink. Our wedding rings were from Cred which use completely ethically sourced gold etc and actively support development projects around the world. We asked guests to buy charity gifts from Oxfam Unwrapped & similar as an alternative to giving presents."

"Ethically sourced gold jewellry. beautiful rings, very friendly service and accomodating re:the pickup of the rings. They seem to have some locations across the UK and give out a DVD of their community development projects. Would thoroughly recommend!"
