RACHELLE AND JOSH'S WEDDING
June, 2007 in Savannah, Georgia"Our wedding was spectacular. We both believe that it was the best wedding we have ever been to (although we are clearly biased...). We loved the whole mood of the wedding, and Savannah provided the perfect backdrop for it."

Band:
Permanent Tourists
Savannah, Georgia, USA"Unfortunately, I don't think this band has a website, and I cannot find the email address for the contact, but try searching online??? This band was spectacular!!! They set a great mood for the reception (party, but still classy), and they were VERY professional. The vocals were amazing, and the sound was great. We had several band directors as guests at our wedding and they thought the band was phenomenal. I highly recommend them."
Cakes/Candies Vendor:
Custom Cakes
7060 Hodgson Memorial DrSavannah, GA, United States
"Our cake was beautiful and delicious!!! We think it was the best tasting wedding cake we have ever had. Every layer was a different flavor, and it was baked FRESH!!! We got so many complements on our cake - I would highly recommend it! The cake featured on her website is the same one we had for our wedding. It was also on Platinum Weddings! It's pricy, but soooo worth it."
Florist:
Kiwi Fleur

"Our flowers were lovely, and the woman, Vikki, is hilarious and definitely willing to work with you. She is very talented, and will create beautiful displays and bouquets. She is also very willing to work with any budget."
Photographer:
Lyn Bonham
Savannah, Georgia, USA"We had beautiful pictures from our wedding - she is very talented, and it is just her and her assitant. My husband and I actually have one of our pictures published in Savannah magazine that Lyn submitted. It was the #1 picture - she is extremely talented!!! She has a photojournalistic style, which we loved. She was pretty pricey, but again, worth it!"
Ceremony:
First Baptist Church Savannah Ga
223 Bull StSavannah, GA 31401, US
"This church is absolutely beautiful inside, with a greek architecture theme (white, gold and green inside, with white columns). The organ is beautiful, too, and it is located above the pulpit, which draws the eye up to the wonderful high ceiling. It is a bit pricy to have the ceremony here, and the dressing rooms are a little small (but you can spill out into a common area as long as you set up a divider to keep the men out!). I would recommend this because it is beautiful inside, but you should be prepared to pay quite a bit. I believe you also may need to know someone in the church administration to have it here - we knew the associate minister."
Reception:
Savannah Yacht Club
Bradley Point RdSavannah, GA 31410, US
"The Yacht Club provided a beautiful setting for our wedding. It is wonderful because you can go outside and enjoy the dock, water, and boats, but it is beautiful inside, as well. There is a long beautiful bar inside, and I would highly recommend getting the ceiling draped - it really adds ambience. The yacht club provides food and tables and chairs for the evening, so you must provide table linens and chair covers if you want them, as well as flowers. The club has a really nice feel to it for a laid back atmosphere, but still elegant. I would be prepared to deal with the other vendors bringing in the linens and flowers, but the yacht club is very acocmadating to this. The food was outstanding - we got lots of complements! They will also pack up boxes of food to send with the bride and groom that night. A large caveat here is that you either need to be a member of the yacht club to have it here, or know someone who is a member so they can sponsor you. We had a sponsor, and it was not a hassle at all, but you need to know them well because if you don't pay the final tab, they will be stuck with it. Also, alcohol is served by the glass here - you cannot do a per head alcohol fee. We are a large family of drinkers, and our alcohol was expensive, but not as bad as we thought. I would highly recommend this."
Hotel:
The Gastonian
220 E Gaston StSavannah, GA, United States
"This Inn was beautiful and we stayed in the honeymoon suite. I highly recommend it! It has a huge jacuzzi tub/swimming pool in the room and it is very old Savannah. It was pretty expensive, but not much more than any other B&B we looked at."
