Great band as far as sound goes but divas - they ate extra vendor meals and decided to eat instead of play music when we cut our cake. Worst part is that they could have just told me they needed more food or wanted a different break! Very disappointed in personality. Guests had no idea - I hope...

Beautiful and catering manager is awesome! Below the surface, however, be ready for unaccomodating policies - they make it clear they don't need you. They don't hold room blocks above 10 rooms and include sub-par wine selection in a premium package. Be careful and thorough with contracts but it is worth it for a fabulous event!

Gecko's Grill & Pub

Known for it's trivia night - this bar has THE BEST wings south of Tampa! A little bit far but worth the trip.

Patrick's Restaurant

Great burgers and in the middle of 'main street.' Good starting point for a night out nearby!

Phillippi Creek Village Restaurant & Oyster Bar

Fresh seafood with a down home feel. It's hidden from the road but you'll find it using these directions!

In St. Armands - a family favorite with Carribean atmosphere! Plus you could walk home if you need to :)

Live music with a back outdoor area. Great for beer drinking and hanging out with old friends, but don't go too late if you want a big table!

Gator Club

Near Patricks, this bar has an upstairs pool room and a crowded downstairs dance floor with live band. Fun but be prepared for a night out :)

Mote Marine is a marine research center and aquarium. A great place for kids and those looking for something to do nearby, Mote has touch pools, shark, dolphin, manatee and sea turtle exhibits and over 100 other species of marine life.

Ringling Museum

By far the top attraction here, this 66-acre site is where showman and circus legend John Ringling and his wife, Mable, collected art and built a house on a grand scale. Now under the aegis of Florida State University, the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is the state's official art museum. It's filled with more than 500 years of European and American works, including one of the world's most important collections of 17th-century baroque paintings, collections of decorative arts, and traveling exhibits. The Old Masters collection includes five renowned tapestry cartoons by Peter Paul Rubens. Built in 1924 and 1925 at a cost of $1.5 million and modeled after a Venetian palace, the Ringlings' 32-room palatial bayfront, four-story winter residence, Ca'd'Zan ("House of John" in the Venetian dialect), has been recently restored. An 8,000-square-foot terrace leads down to the dock at which Mable Ringling moored her Venetian gondola. Don't miss a tour of this house to see the period furniture and stunning architecture and artwork.

Selby Botanical Gardens

A must-see for serious plant lovers and a should-see for those looking for good photo ops, this peaceful retreat on the bay, just south of downtown, is said to be the only botanical garden in the world specializing in the preservation, study, and research of epiphytes -- that is, "air plants" such as orchids. It's home to more than 20,000 exotic plants, including more than 6,000 orchids, as well as a bamboo pavilion, a butterfly and hummingbird garden, a medicinal-plant garden, a waterfall garden, a cactus and succulent garden, a fernery, a hibiscus garden, a palm grove, two tropical-food gardens, and a native shore-plant community. Selby's home and the Payne Mansion (both on the National Registry) are also located here.

In it's 11th year, this corvette show is the Third Largest Classic Corvette Car Show in the state of Florida! Over 200 pristine & original Class Corvettes will be on display in the Circle Park dating from 1953 to the present.
