FORT MYERS BEACH WEDDING IN MAY

"The wedding was great! It was nice to have the ceremony on Fort Myers Beach. I was a little disappointed that we could not have a private location and had some people over looking the ceremony. It was also very windy, but overall the weather was beautiful. As a tip, beware of red tide on the beach. It can ruin the pictures and overall appearence of the wedding. As far as the local vendors were concerned, we went with a local "all in one" lady (Weddings by Claudia). She offered to do the ceremony, flowers, photography, etc. I think we should have researched further. I was disappointed. Not worth the money. Our reception was held at the Lani Kai. The room was private and big (it had a small dance floor, though). The view was great, however, you have to put up with the hideous pink flamingo colored room! Ugh! The people (staff) were obnoxious and not that friendly. I heard bad things about the hotel rooms so we did not book there. The food (buffet style) was decent. We did receive compliments on it. Nothing fancy, just basic and budget, but nice."
