Known for the concerts and auditoriums. Contact your local US congressperson for tour tickets. (They last about 2 hours, but wonderful in hot afternoons.) There are also free concerts avalible in the afternoon.

Please contact your local US congressperson for tours of the House and/or Senate. These tours are ussually lead by the interns and requesting early morning tours means that the halls are not a crowded and lines are not as long.

Lake Forest Mall

A local mall with a variety of restaurants and shops.

Library of Congress

Please contact your local US congressperson for a pass to the Library of Congress. The marble halls are breathtaking in the evening sunlight.

Old Town Alexandria

A delightful historic area with shops, restruants, museums, and numerous activities. (Scottish and Irish shops are also located here.)

Please contact your local US congressman to set up tours of the residence. The sooner you contact them, the more likely you will be able to secure a tour since it is such a busy time of the year.
