This was a beautiful venue and everything looked amazing, but Newton White Mansion's staff struck us as somewhat edgy and irritable. They were difficult to communicate with without them giving you that "sigh" of annoyance and a condescending tone in all their responses, which was completely unnecessary and it would happen no matter how polite and cheerful we were to them. If you have a good wedding coordinator that can handle the issues with them, then everything else is fine and our event went very smoothly.

The Hilton treated us great. They were professional and made sure to fill all their staff in on the events taking place that weekend, so they all knew about our wedding, where and when, our guests, etc. They were all pleasant and helpful and accommodating.
Residence Inn by Marriott

Residence Inn was very easy to work with and our guests enjoyed the convenience of the hotel to other parts of Alexandria and Washington, DC.
